His name sounds like it could be Middle Eastern, so the speculation of many seems to be that he maybe converted (from ?) to Muslim, which of course makes it a bigger news event than if he was Roman Catholic, Eastern/Russian Orthodox, Hindu, Pentecostal, or Southern Baptist.

He was a soldier/officer who was destined to return to the gates of hell. I’d rather not think how I, or many other people might react. The news on CNN said that base has a center to treat warriors who suffer from combat fatigue, but did not say whether this man was being treated.

Seems that some people think "everybody's outa step but me".
