Buongone says on Nov 3, 2009, 10:22: You have total cost. Should not it be just $9.99. Total cost waiting the 5 days with the transfer being taken out of your Bank Account. Not with a credit card. Which Is higher. Don't know about the deposit. Most when I use it, she go's to the bank and withdraws it. Been using Xoom awhile. Have reported it before. People just say it's too high. You are going to get screwed know matter how ya do it. Except with capital one money market. Then wait the 5 days to get the money. Granted $9.99 is pretty damn cheap $$$$. But like I said. You need to wait the 5 days.

larryrn says on Nov 3, 2009, 13:10: It's much better to take cash out using an ATM card here. At Citibank you can get 2 million per transaction up to your daily limit. And using a Capital One Direct card -- you get the TRM rate -- and there are NO conversion fees and NO foreign transaction fees. And you get access to the money immediately! Buongone says on Nov 3, 2009, 15:01: calirentals. What about the poor souls have have no account. Then they have to go to either Davidienda or BancoColumbia to pick the money up. I have used WU and Emoneygram before. Emoneygram had someone hack around $3500 out of my account before I found out and put the clamps on the account. They said it wasmy fault. I told my bank that. They said Oh No. They just reversed the charges against Emoneygram and took the money back from them. Seemed like from the names they were using, sound Russian, or Baltic. Don't use them no more. Was using the computer to check my accounts from a hotel in Cartagena at the time. Kinda made me wonder if something was not hacked into that computer at the time. ?? Who know's. Still the best way is like larryrn says. Capital One Direct Money Market or charge cards. You just wire the money from your bank account ovr to the Cap 1 account. And go from there. ATM Machine. Watch what time of day you do it. Look around. Scan the surroundings and then ya need to scan the whole frigging booth that the ATM is in.Cameras, Sleep Dust, and what have you. Best to go inside a bank. With a cop/shotgun standing there. Get no receipt and get out of there as soon as possible after the transaction.

Buongone says on Nov 3, 2009, 20:07: Kinda before the ATM's really got going. Down in Cabo. I used to go to the Amex office and write checks. I know if you get ahold of Amex as I did. They will set you up with a pin number. Now when you draw out money from the ATM with your Amex card it is just like writing a check that comes out of your account. Now this is not charging. It is like turning your Amex card into a debit card. The money is gone from your account as soon as you draw the money out of the ATM. Now in Costa Rica I would cash checks at the Visa Card offices.Same as in Cabo. Write a check and get Costa Rican money. 1K was about the size of a small football. Always took a brown paper bag. And a sweatshirt with me down ther. As soon as I got the money. Rolled it up. Stuck it under my sweatshirt like a small football. Kinda tucked away. Walked out of the Office. Hit the street. Stopped, and flagged down a cab as soon as possible to take me back where I was staying. And the money was put in the safe deposit box. When I had the Moneygram problem in Cartagena. That is when they informed me about being able to do that with Amex. And it works. Just have to have money in your bank account.
