The reason for a lot of aggression on PBH

PBH seems to be getting more and more aggressive and confrontational; moving away from a great source of information to multiple bitching, personal attack and amateur police investigation sessions.

Could the reason for so much aggressive behavior be to an influx of vegetarian personnel? Article below!!!

Vegetarianism and militancy

These days, it seems that there are more and more reasons to protest against the way our society is being run. There are voices of disseat everywhere. (It is the reason for this website!) but there is a much more worrying trend — violent protest.

Have you noticed the increasing numbers of occasions when small groups of very militant people demonstrate against all sorts of things: animal experiments, butchers' shops, new roads, footpaths, nuclear power stations, civil rights, homosexuals' rights or anybody else's rights. The odds are that the majority are vegetarians.

As we know, when it needs food, our body indicates this to us with the feeling of hunger. But there are also other signals if specific nutrients are deficient. Meat is the best source of several nutrients. When our bodies are deficient in these, we become irritable and aggressive. This is a perfectly natural signal built into our genetic make-up over our evolution: our bodies are telling us to go out and kill something to eat. This is why strict vegetarians tend to be so vociferous. It is a trait that was recognised long ago; it was, after all, the vegetarian Cain who killed the carnivorous Abel, not the other way round. The vegan Kikuyu tribe in Kenya were the perpetrators of the murderous Mau Mau in the 1950s, not their wholly carnivorous, but peaceful, neighbours, the Maasai.

The butcher's shop in my village has had its windows smashed so often that it is now boarded up when it is closed. Have you ever heard of a meat eater bombing a greengrocer's shop?

I would say they there is some truth to this, as most new modern caucasian vegetarians do it out frustration and anger, they HATE anyone else that eats meat, they blame them for the killing of animals, vegetarian caucasian women are a raw wire, naturally I would not sa y all and generalized, as I met very peaceful and aware vegetarians. The choice and desire should come from within, to be united in harmony with the mind, body and your higher self, most vegetarians today do it out rebellion and misunderstanding of how they fit in. its all about balance.

Now I'm going to have my mixed grill, pork chops, chicken, skirt steak, and lamb. hmmmm good

All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self evident.

i was a vegan for years...not only that, i ate no flesh, no animal products...milk, cheese, butter, etc and no fruits. only grains and a very limited asst. of vegis. carrots, onions, garlic, ginger. i was macrobiotic and religiously so. then when my religious teacher (guru) found out....he said, "if's far more important what comes out of your mouth, than what goes in it." totally burst my better than thou ego. now i eat what motivates me--clean stuff--but anything...steak, pollo, veg. fruit, you name it. if it's freash, uncanned, not in bottles or with preservatives or chemicals, it's good for me. yum. i don't remember being aggresive...really not my nature...but there was a time in youth that i was a bit on a short fuse.

now, it's live and let live...if someone wants to push to the front of the line, fine. like my grandpa used to say, "NEVER be in a hurry, there's only death at the end of the road."

ah! the wisdom of you brothers. i'll feed the bull gators here where i live.....IF......IF....they're on the other side of the pond. you'ld be surprised how fast those guys can run. i just throw the scraps in the pond and get hat. the minute it's in the water, they're off the bank and outta sight. when i can't see him, i go home, cause i know he can see me. and i probably look just like rib eye or prime rib.

remember the scene at the end of romancing the stone when they're fighting in cartegena and they're looking at the gators, "hey ralph! look at them snappers!" then the bad guy gets his arm bitten off. they look like land sharks. the 'great whites' of my golf course. ha ha

Too many foreign people with not enough to do so they direct too much energy into PBH. Whilst on line, they will drink too much coffee during the day, eat junk food with too many e-numbers among their ingredients and later on will spliff up and drink too much alcohol. You know those types because they write nothing Friday/Saturday evenings because they are out partying. Then the post things drunk or with a pounding hangover.
Perhaps it would do us all good to ration our attendance on this site, write one post and forget about the other silly ones we were thinking about doing, make only 3 comments and then go for a good walk/go to the gym or whatever turns you on and prepare ourselves a good healthy salad for lunch.
Aggression can be controlled with a healthier lifestyle but perhaps I am not the best one to talk!
As with all things, there are exceptions to the rules and a few people here continue to provide us with consistently good posts which are appreciated by the masses!

Some people that I know personally or via this site have defected from this site as a result of the attitude problems that exist here. Some of those were very valuable contributors.
It is a terrible shame for the originators of the site and the others like the mods etc that this should be occurring with all of the efforts made, both in the past to develope it, and now in order to maintain it.
I do not believe that the "older statespersons" are responsible for this, more the "irresponsible children" who are supposedly adults and the occasional nutcase.

I have actually been on here since about May of 2005, irregardless of what the records say.
The world is constantly in a state of change and evolution.
When I first logged on to PBH back about 4 years ago,...
There were probably some of those "older statespersons'' you refer to, kenblanquito, who are now GONE.
And, a GOOD CROWD! They were/are!
But, they too, were ARROGANT, in their own way... still then, Trashing some newbies.... for this and for that.
So... they left the site. For whatever reason.
Hey! People come and people go.
For reasons we really never know.
People stay, too... for their particular reasons, and when the winds of time prevail, ... they go.
So....?
The continuous changing of the guard on any site like PBH is the only constant.
Who is responsible for what?
Take their lil colombian football and go home?
If you ain't gonna please them and play their game?
Who really gives a fok?

Ken

I also think you may being to sensitive and those who left may have been to sensitive to hang around. Or it just was not worth the hassle and so the value was diminished for them. I personally in one way or another tell everyone here to phuck off from time to time. I try to do it respectfully although I realize that it may not always come across that way. Having told everyone to phuck off at one time and not really personalizing it against a particular name has allowed me to still come in here most days and start afresh. I stick up for the newbes knowing that some of them are the so called trolls. We have more in common than we have differences and it seems to me that the diversity of opinions even the bizzare ones allows everyone a chance to say what they believe is important. It appears to be working to me. I do admit that somedays it just does not seem worth posting on PBH. But it appears that everyone here has a stake in whats happening in Colombia for one reason or another.

If we really all met face to face do you really think it would reveal the same chemistry as is revealed from behind the keyboard? I doubt it. But until we do meet we have to live with all the smart ass opinions, assumptions and bullsh*t we all seem to contribute here.
