Got this mail from a member a few days ago. Didn't read it until now. They have probably sent it to several of you, but hopefully you smelled the scam as well:

Hello, Nice to meet you, how is everything, hope all is well with you. Myname is Madam Avelin Regato, I found your contact after reading yourprofile I picked interest to contact you. I've something veryimportant which I would love to share with you privately, therefore, would advise you to kindly write me back on:(madamregato at yahoo.com.ph) so that I'll give you details. Waitinganxiously for your anticipated corporation,Yours,Madam AvelinEmail me on: madamregato at yahoo.com.ph
I have found the exact same e-mail on different sites on the Internet. If you answer, you may receive a lot of junk in return. Or even worse, they may try to befriend you to get money out of you. Ban the user (if it still hasn't been done), and delete the mail.

TravellerNorway says on Jun 21, 2009, 04:29: Yep, they are everywhere. Just heard about two brothers whose father sent enormous amounts of money to his cute "girlfriend" in Manila. Don't remember the numbers, but they were really insane. Her stories were of course about huge hospital bills and stuff like that. The brothers could only watch their father being scammed, and wasting their heritage as well. Yes, such stories are unfortunately too common.
