Getting a fiance visa thru legal channels takes an awfully long time. What if I flew a Colombian girl to Mexico and walked across a bridge to the US and claimed she was my fiance and that drug gangs/ gangs members threatened our lives while in Colombia and that it was a matter of life and death that she be allowed to enter the US. Do you think they would allow her in? Would it help if I married her in Colombia before trying this? What are the chances she would be sent right back?

Gator says on Mar 10, 2009, 14:07: Correct, Greg, plus possible criminal penalties for him. In all probability she would be denied boarding without the visa in her passport, Reminder, Colombians traveling to Mexico require a visa. The six-month wait to do it right not really that long. The old canard of an amnesty plea for Colombians require a LOT of proof now. Last and not least you can't claim a damn thing-SHE is the one to make the claim and she has to file the paper work first, "Bene, cum Latine nescias, nolo manus meas in te maculare" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Even IF you made it to the US with her, the claim would be denied and you would open yourself up to the aforementioned ban and penalties. Why would you want to do that? if you love her and want her to have legal status in the US you should apply for a Fiance Visa. Are you afraid she is going to leave you upon reaching the US and maybe thats why you want her not to have any status in the US!!!!!!!!!!!!!
