Hi everyone!
I am presenting a paper at a conference in San Andres, its being held at a big hotel there and the organizers recommend we stay there etc.....trouble is it is expensive and I may have never read such bad reviews of a place on tripadvisor.com ....
So.... any B&B type, hostel type places you know of where I can enjoy myself without going broke and being able to get downtown to my conference?
Thanks!

ColombianoGringo (Moderator) says on Mar 22, 2008, 15:09: Hmm. That is pretty cheap. I'm afraid I don't know of any places like that off hand, but I can ask around. $40 you could probably find, but under $25 will likely be difficult. What time of the year is your conference? That will greatly affect the prices. expatriate says on Mar 24, 2008, 17:38: All that I can suggest is to have the taxi driver take you the 5 minutes from the airport to downtown, and ask him about a hotel that is cheap. The kind of place where many Colombians would stay. Air conditioned rooms are more expensive, but are very nice to have at night. So are hot showers. Tell him your basic needs. You better take care of me Lord, if you don't you're gonna have me on your hands. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
