Hi all: I'm a retired guy who's been living in Lima/Miraflores, Peru. But due to the poor climate here in Lima I want to find a sunnier cleaner place. I''m looking for a location that has stores and restaurants and cinemas.
I know that Poblado is one good place to look at and others have also told me to check out Laureles, Envigado and Estadio. (I have never been to Medellin) Are these all about the same price range as Poblado? I am looking to spend 1,000,000 CP/month for a two bedroom furnished place or less for unfurnished place. Is this in the ballpark of prices? Is there a pretty good selection? Should I check the local newpaper ads in el Colombiano as best place to look for a place? I found a website with furnished short term rentals of 2 bdrm with everything included for 1,400,000 and it can be month to month, but if I were willing to sign a longer rent agreement eg 6 months or longer I figured I could find something a little less. I'll be grateful for any opinions/info. Gracias, Larry
