Barranca- Living there???

Has anyone recently been to Barranca to live or visit? I know everyone says it is hot and dusty and they used to say it was dangerous but I hear now it is safer than Bucaramanga (where I currently live). I was there yesterday for a couple of hours for an interview but didn´t get a chance to see much of the city and it must have been a cold day there because it was cooler than Bucaramanga. Anyone?

I was there a couple of weeks ago, and it was hot as hell. It was equally as bad as the coast, but without the breeze, and therefore felt worse. I much prefer Bmanga.

I lived in Barrancabermeja from a year, I was working with Ecopetrol.

The city is not funy, there is no malls, important restaurants, etc. Womens have a baby with you or an ingenier,.with the hope of marriage,

People dance every day there, and heather is too hot.

Barranca is MUCH more dangerous than Bucaramanga... it's full of indigent people, and yes normally it's maybe 2 degress cooler than hell itself. You pretty much couldn't pick a worse place in the country to live.
