Used Copa their partner from Panama to Medellin last month and they did not charge anything for an additional checked bag.

They charged me for having over 20 kgs once, but the fees are so small it is almost funny. Not like Europe etc, was something like 2 k a kilo (internal colombian flight).

You are allowed one checked luggage of up to 20 kilos for domestic flights. Excess baggage is charged per kilo, no matter how many bags you carry. The charge is 1% of your ticket price per kilo. Say you paid COP $200K from MDE to BOG and have 10 kilos excess baggage, you'll pay a fee of COP $20K, plus IVA I think. Very cheap indeed.
