still a bit baffled here. just read the comm rules (•Posting pictures that aren't yours is not ok.... but yet i see fotos of movie stars. id like to think that theres probably no movie stars on here at pbh...

Yes, posts about Colombia are usually left alone. On occasion, a thread may get out of hand and may be deleted. A post can also be demoted. In this case, the post still exists, but does not display on the forum page. It can still be accessed via the original link.

For example, if this post were to be demoted, you could still see it at http://poorbuthappy.com/colombia/post/community-rules-/

Off topic posts are not automatically deleted. If they fit under the section for another country, they are moved there. Otherwise, they are typically moved to the Off Topic forum at http://poorbuthappy.com/yourthing

Topics that are not about Colombia, but relate to the operation, rules, etc. of PBH are normally moved to the About PBH section. In some cases, they are left on the main board for a while and then moved. This post would fall under that category. We will leave it on the main forum for a while, but eventually it will be moved.

Sapo, What's your point? I think we are in agreement about posting pictures of private people on the site without their permission. If you see such pictures, flag them. I for one am not able to dig through countless posts looking for incorrect pictures. It helps when members point them out.

His comments to the mods seem to indicate that MT's photos would be OK because he took them.

I will ask him to clarify if "yours" means that you are the only subject of a photo or if it simply means that the poster must have taken the photo.

I preffer to have a deleted acount to make public an album of my photos. If I have to do it only I will send it to a moderator, not show it to morb users in PBH. I really don't understand the point of them.

Also I'm not using PBH to get mens attention or get friends, may be that is the reason that I can't see a big number of girl users in PBH, are only a few. But almost are men. I didn't Contact any one for friendship or something like that. I think that PBH is a powerfull tool to get information to travel and not discuss that kind of things.

As I know you can't use or take copyrighted photos for commercial interest, for example you take a copyrighted photo from a website who in the footer have Copyrights, that protect all their contents and photos, because material are registered, like their logos, publicities, mottos, songs, videos, lines, etc, everything that makes an a Company brand. Taking a Copyrighted protected photo or material for example a song, a song lyric, a building design, a painting, etc, is illegal, but is have to be registered. Another people can use it or take intellectual posetion if they buy that rights. People Can't use copyrighted material for commercial interest or even a part of it.

For Example in Colombia the brand name “asadero de la 22” a lot of stores use that name and someone person take this name for his brand, or steal it. The real owner lost that name because he didn’t registered that name brand and logo. Now he has registered a new name and is “Comapñia del Sabor”

This is an example, and if you use a model picture in a web page that is copyrighted, you are stealing the work of the photographer, director, makeup artist, model, graph designer, costume designer, etc. But the photo has to be registered, and really copyright protected, with the proceeds of copyright, not only if footer say it, may be the material is not registred.

Another case is la cumbia cienagera song, another person listened, he changed the name of the song "cama recochona" and take the song and changed the lyrics, later a legal process determines, that this author don’t have same songs in his gender, like that, and their own songs aren’t successful song like that, this new song from him was out of his common. And the real owner doesn’t have a music record of that song, but he registered in a local notary the score.

In this case a million users of facebook, badoo, tagged, PBH, and another social engines, must have legal problems with that, may be is not their own photo, only is using a photo of Hanna Montana, or an movie star, or a music star, or in the same way, or using photos that some graph designers create, not taking photos, a new creation, maybe an avatar. If you say it as identity theft could be a really crime, but for taking a photo a using it on a social engine as an avatar? That’s not a crime, only if you use records or data of another person could be a crime for example using the social security of another person, his name, his address, for purposes like a get a job, or using it to do a business, or to send it to a financial institution or government records, is a crime, In another ways I don’t think so.

As I see the photos on panoramio and Google Earth address really matches. And only watching some writers on this Post and anothers, watching their pictures and their avatars, I could say that are not their own picture, or they didn't created by photoshop. Then? In this case a big percentage of accounts here in PBH must be closed If is using the same rule, because rules are for everyone.

If Peter's published rules like "Posting pictures that aren't yours is not ok.". may be PBH should send a mensage to the users to change that photo and if there is no response should delete all kind of this photos of that profiles

As far as I know ( I have been a news Photog) Any picture taken by an individual, remains the property of that individual until such time as it is assigned to another. Photos of other people can not be used for commercial purposes without the written consent fo the subject. I can take a street picture and publish it no problem unless I profit from it. If people are recognised in the image and there is profit made, model releases must be secured.

Desde sus inicios, ba-k.com ha tratado de mantener un ambiente de buena convivencia, de modo que la manera de conducirse en este sitio debe estar basada en el respeto y el sentido común, les pongo una serie de reglas que harán mucho mas facil la convivencia en el sitio.

Sobre la publicacion de temas y mensajes:

1.- Ubica primero la sección en la que debe ir el tema, de esa forma la gente que navegue por las diferentes secciones podrá encontrar mas rápido tu aporte.

2.- Los titulos de los temas deberan ser claros y concisos, no se permiten los mensajes tipo "todo el heavy metal aqui", cada aporte debe ir en un tema diferente, para que sea mejor indexado por el buscador.

3.- Las peticiones se publican en el subforo de peticiones que está dentro de cada sección, las peticiones mal ubicadas serán borradas. Los usuarios podran ignorar las peticiones de aquellos que solo entraron a pedir sin participar en otros temas.

4.- No se permite hacer spam en los temas, ni en las contraseñas de los archivos ni en ningun lado, usuario que ponga spam repetidamente usuario borrado. El spam no se limita solamente a anunciar sitios, las actividades de compra-venta tambien son consideradas spam y no estan permitidas.

5.- Evita desvirtuar temas, es normal que una charla siga muchos caminos, pero no desvirtues a proposito.

6.- Opina sobre el tema del tema no sobre quien lo publica.

7.- Si te gusta lo publicado en un tema te invitamos a agradecer, no te cuesta nada y sube bastante la moral del que publica =)

8.- Si no te gusta un tema, mejor no respondas nada ¬¬ se deben respetar los gustos y opiniones de los demás.

9.- Cuida la manera en la que escribes, trata de tener buena ortografía y no escribir todo en mayusculas, nada nos cuesta un poco de atención hacia nuestra escritura y hacia los demás.

10.- Está prohibido el publicar mensajes discriminatorios, sexistas u ofensivos que tengan como objetivo molestar a otro usuario o usuarios de manera arbitraria. Pueden darse discusiones acaloradas, pero siempre basadas en argumentos claros, sentido comun y respeto.

11.- El equipo de moderadores puede cerrar, borrar, mover y editar cualquier mensaje que no se apegue a las reglas.

12.- Si encuentras un tema con enlaces rotos, spam, foro equivocado... en fin cualquier tema/post que viole las normas o la sana convivencia de los bakunos, repórtalo con el botón rojo , el reporte es anonimo. Tambien puede usarse por si ves algun conflicto en el foro, el staff llegará a hacerse cargo.

13.-No es permitido publicar, solicitar o distribuir pedofilia, zoofilia, incesto o cualquier material pornografico en donde se muestren violaciones y/o mutilaciones; las mutilaciones por si solas tampoco son permitidas. Esto aplica incluso a las secciones en donde se publica Hentai y relatos eróticos. Cabe señalar que tampoco es permitido publicar material pornografico "amateur" para dañar la reputación de alguna persona. Cualquier persona que incluso agradezca un mensaje relacionado a pornografia con menores de edad o pida que se le envie por otro medio será banneado automaticamente sin importar su antigüedad.

14.- La regla general es abrir un tema por aporte (aplicacion, disco, etc), no abrir megaposts o recopilaciones, ya que se dificulta para el buscador encontrar las cosas rapidamente. Es recomendable incluir datos especificos sobre descarga (version, capturas, etc...) para asi hacer mas amigable la navegacion a todos los usuarios

Sobre las firmas y avatares:

Las firmas son una forma de identidad en la red, sin embargo es necesario que se ajusten a cierta norma para que no sean molestos, ya sea porque hagan más pesada la carga de la pagina o porque generen una contaminación visual.

1.- El limite de tamaño en los avatares es de 100 pixeles de alto y de 100 pixeles de ancho, asi como 25 kb de peso. Puedes subir un avatar mas grande, pero el sistema automáticamente lo redimensionará.

2.- Las firmas tienen un tamaño limite de 400 pixeles de ancho y de 100 pixeles de alto. El peso no deberá exceder los 60 kb, las firmas que no se adapten a este tamaño serán borradas, por respeto al ancho de banda de todos los demas usuarios.

3.- Ni las firmas ni los avatares podrán tener mensajes ofensivos (racismo, discriminación, etc...) o imágenes pornográficas.

4.- Los links en las firmas son permitidos mientras sea un link a tu pagina personal, puesto de manera muy discreta y no involucre a sistemas de afiliados o algun tipo de lucro.

5.- Procura no tener citas e imagenes en la misma firma, o una u otra, ya que juntas hacen una firma demasiado grande.

Sobre la vigencia de las cuentas de usuario:

1.- las cuentas que no publiquen al menos 2 mensajes en un lapso de 2 meses serán desactivadas periodicamente al finalizar el mes, teniendose el usuario que volver a registrar. OJO: recuerda que foro libre y peticiones no cuentan en el marcador de mensajes.

2.- no se reestablecerán cuentas despues de ser inactivas, por favor no manden correos por este motivo.

Sobre grupos sociales:

1.- no se permiten grupos que contravengan a las reglas del foro, sobre todo por temas discriminatorios.

2.- no se permite hacer galerias pornograficas, ni sets, tampoco fan-groups llenos de fotos, todo grupo asi será eliminado, ya que para eso esta NAPB

3.- por favor, publica imagenes con algun sentido, estos son grupos sociales, no photobucket =)
